I am proud to call Megan my sister. Sometimes we may fight. But, give us five minutes (or a couple hours) and we resolve any issue that comes our way. We are blessed to have amazing parents and family that love us unconditionally.
Growing up, Meg and I were close. We would often get into arguments because I would want her to play outside but she would rather read. She would suggest that I play tennis with the barn or read a book. When it came to school, Meg always succeeded. But, when it came to athletics, out of the two of us, I was the one that succeeded. I’m not saying that Meg isn’t athletic and I’m not saying I'm not smart…but some things just come easier to us.
As we grew older, our bond became closer and closer. When I moved to ISU for my freshman year, without Meg, I wouldn’t have survived. She was there to take me to Wal-Mart to escape the struggles that I encountered. It was never hard for me to make friends, but when I went to college, it was a whole new game. I struggled at first and I really thank my sister for being there to get me through it! :o)

Over the years, we’ve became best friends. She is always there for me and I’m always there for her. There are some things that you just can’t share with anyone else but your sister. We have so much fun together even if we really aren’t doing anything.
I looked up to my sister when I was little, and I still look up to her!
Megan is an amazing teacher. I have gotten the pleasure to observe her in the classroom on several occasions. She is amazing with the kids. She isn’t one of those teachers that are all about lecturing. She wants the students to have fun and learn at the same time. She doesn’t talk down to them or make them feel unworthy. She is there to help them grow and learn.
She has this book that she has the seniors sign at the end of the year. I’ve read it every year and it usually brings tears to my eyes. It’s amazing to see what some of her students have to say about her. Megan is sometimes hard on herself when it comes to being a good teacher and doing a good job. When you read this book, it affirms that she is amazing at what she does.
This year, Meg is taking a new position at Clinton Prairie. She’s going to be the librarian. She’s so excited and this is a perfect job for her. She is an amazing teacher but she has such a passion for books and what they teach young people. I’m sure she is going to do very well in her new position.
My sister and I share a special bond and without her I wouldn’t be who I am today. From making me sing the “boy” part while singing duets to being the Maid of Honor in my wedding. I love my sister. Even though there are “tiffs” from time to time. We will always be there for each other. I can’t wait to see what new adventures we will conquer next.

I love ya nutbar!

Do you know how much I love my little sister? If you don't, you should. I love her TONS -- without her I don't make sense.
Even when she posts stupid pictures of me, even when she drives me nuts, even when she is stubborn, she gets me, and she loves me even though I'm a nutbar.
I can't take this.. I will need to buy another box of kleenex..and about this "book." Why haven't you shared this with Mom and Dad?????
