Blaine and I had a very busy weekend. We headed up to Francesville on Saturday. Brandon had a double-header and we hadn't seen him play yet. So it was the perfect opportunity to see him play. Courtney came over to the park to see us and to see Brandon play as well. It was a good day. I texted Mom during the first game because I had planned on going out to their house in between the two games but they were getting ready to meet Don and Kathy to go to a wedding. So..Blaine, Alex, and I went out to Grandma and Grandpa Yaggie's. It was nice getting to see them. It's been a while and they always really enjoy us stopping by. Saturday night, Tony, Bev, and Brandon invited us over for dinner with them and Steve and Yvonne. We grilled out and then sat around the campfire( the ring provided by Dad!! ) We got back to Jan's pretty late.
We then woke up around 6:30 Sunday morning. We wanted to make sure we gave ourselves enough time to get showered and get to Gma and Gpas to meet Aunt Karen, Clay, and Shelby. We left around 8:30 and arrived in Chicago around 10:30 or so. I think... We walked around Wrigleyville and went into various shops. It was soooo cool. I definitely want to go back :o)
The game was great. I held up the poster I made that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZAMBRANO!! But I didn't make it on t.v. Oh well. I tried! The Cubs WON!!! So I got to sing Go Cubs Go!! Which was the highlight of the whole trip!!! We made our way downtown to see the sites...and then started back to Medaryville. We stopped in Valpo at TGI Friday's..and got back to Gmas around oh...9:30 or so. We were exhausted. But it was an awesome day!!
The rest of the weekend was spent spending time with my husband. We haven't gotten to spend much time lately just the two of us. So we decided since Blaine took a couple days off and I had the whole week off...it would be the perfect time to do that! We went fishing on Monday morning. It was a little depressing because we didn't catch anything. Oh well..we had fun anyway...
We then found out that Mom and Dad were in Monticello so we ran to Rural King to see them and see if they wanted us to come out and help them with the fence. Dad said they weren't going to do much that day so he didn't think they would need us for anything. So we decided to go fish a little more..then we went to Mark Baileys.
After that, we ran back by Jan's to pick up our bags and then we were going to head home. Well..Alex was there and he kind of seemed like he wanted us to stay..so we said we would hang out for a while. He went to football. Don came home and talked with us for a while. Then I had told Blaine earlier that I had wanted to go for a walk if we happened to stay one more night. So we went for a walk all around town. It was so nice spending the weekend with him! :o)
We came back early today and had lunch at Julie's Ranch House. Then we came home and washed clothes and cleaned up the house a little. Then we decided to rearrange the couches in the two living rooms...and relax. Blaine went on a Medical Run and I took a small nap. We then had dinner and decided to mow...and we are just now getting in the house because it was starting to rain.
I had a good weekend. I love spending time with Blaine. We have so much fun together. It doesn't matter if we are doing something amazing like the Cubs game...or just lounging around the house. I always enjoy spending time with him. Like one of Jack Johnson's songs says..."it's always better when we're together" :o)
